Description
The role of directors and senior managers in championing health and safety cannot be overstated. Their leadership is pivotal in fostering a culture of safety, ensuring the health, safety and well-being of employees and students, and in protecting the University’s reputation.

• Why health and safety matters• Governance, leadership and management at CUG• Safety culture and leadership behaviours• Understanding your health and safety risks• Measuring and monitoring performance• Practical actions
Who should attend?
People in leadership positions in business units which manage higher risk activities, e.g. labs and workshops. We also offer a separate workshop ‘Managing Health & Safety’ for staff with managerial responsibilities for managing health and safety risks, such as Lab/Workshop/Studio Managers, Senior Technicians, PIs, Research Support Managers etc.
