Part of the leadership journey involves recognising when a difficult conversation needs to take place and approaching that conversation constructively and confidently.

Participants will be able reflect on some difficult conversations and equip themselves to prepare for, and manage, those conversations more effectively.

Topics covered include:

• What is a difficult conversation? What makes it difficult?
• What are the barriers to having a quality conversation?
• Tools & techniques to help you overcome these issues.

Who should attend?

Existing managers and aspiring managers. We recommend in both instances that you complete the Self Reflection Tool and SOAR tool to support your development planning. These can be found on the Practical Skills for Managers web pages. Please discuss your attendance on this module with your line manager before booking your place.
