Description

This workshop includes fire safety training and updates on emergency procedures for a safer workplace, touching up on first response, sweeping to clear the area, evacuation information, and liaison with all involved.

What are the benefits?

This session will support improve staff confidence and it will help with building better liaison and more efficiency in the event of a fire alarm. The more efficient we can be, the safer the work environment will be for everyone, and the quicker we can get back to normal after an incident.

Topics covered include:

• The role of sweepers, co-ordinators, and Protection officers
• First response – accommodation (where required by attendees)
• First response – campus
• The use and limitations of fire extinguishers (including a practical demonstration if possible)
• The arrival and deployment of the Protection Service at the building
• PEEPs and disabled evacuation
• Liaison at the building entrance & Assembly Point
• Stand-down after the incident

• Fire Wardens & Sweepers
• Evacuation Co-ordinators, including front-of-house teams
• Technicians
• Estates staff
• Protection Service officers and managers
• People with disabilities and/or their line managers and ‘buddies’
