Description

Getting students to engage early with assessment tasks can often be challenging, but is critical to ensure a Pass First Time, on time. Similarly, we need to support our students to understand that assessment is about more than “just getting the grade”. In this workshop we will have a conversation about practices that have potential to help students to confidently engage with assessment, and to effectively use feedback to shape their learning strategies.
In this interactive session, participants will:
• Have the opportunity to consider what is meant by the terms “assessment and feedback literate” students.
• Consider the student voice, with regards to what helps and what hinders assessment and feedback literacy.
• Explore their own role in developing students’ assessment literacy.
• Identify practical approaches which will support and encourage students to achieve a First Time Pass, on time.
