New staff are welcomed by a member of the University Leadership team and provided with an overview of our organisation and the pillars of the Corporate Plan. Participants are invited to explore their contribution to Student Experience and to our mission ‘Creating Better Futures’, both locally and globally. There will be an opportunity to ask questions, and membership of a dedicated Teams site will afford a virtual networking opportunity and to access need-to-know information.
What are the benefits?
University induction aims to help all new staff experience a smooth and supported transition into their new role at Coventry University. The session has been designed to help orient you to the Group structure of the institution and the mission that unites its component parts. You will learn about the values and commitments which have been fundamental to the continued success of the University and to the life of the staff and student community. Access to a dedicated Teams site will provide access to information designed to help you to navigate and carry out your role with clarity and confidence.
Topics covered include:
Organisational overview, Student Experience & Creating Better Futures. Follow-up materials will cover development opportunities, support services and other useful information
Who should attend?
*All new staff* should attend 'University Induction' as soon as possible after their start date.
*Academic Staff* are also required to attend ‘Academic Induction: Teaching & Learning the Coventry Way’. To book a place on one of these sessions, please search under 'Academic Induction.'
