Pension tax has become an important matter for a significant and growing number of staff. Greater numbers of staff are incurring or at risk of incurring pension tax charges. This is no longer a matter for the very highest of earners and can impact staff with moderate to high salaries that have long service also.
The University continues to work with financial education specialists WEALTH at work to bring you a workshop designed to help you understand more about pension planning and taxation.
Important pension legislation came into force affecting the limits to the amount of tax relief available on pension savings and employees are likely to be affected by these changes in varying degrees. However if you are a high earner and longer standing member of the pension scheme you may be impacted more than you think. You could also be liable for a tax charge.
What are the benefits?
This course contains information you will need to help you understand the limits on benefits you can accrue before you incur a tax charge, how those limits work and what options you have to help you manage your pension tax affairs.
