There is no doubt that students' engagement, contract cheating, and sense of belonging are some of the biggest challenges we face in higher education. Authentic assessment is an excellent response to these kinds of challenges. Authentic assessment provides students with the opportunity of experiencing real-world problem-solving situations. It assists them in exercising and developing skills and competencies they need to challenge, tackle and solve problems that communities and industry professionals are struggling in the real workplaces. In this webinar, I introduce a straightforward 3-step model to make the course/module assessment authentic through a combination of low, medium and high stake formative and summative assessment points. You will have the chance to see some case studies and plan your approach towards redesigning your course/module assessment.
