Description

This highly participative one-day workshop is designed to give you the opportunity to practice effective listening and minute writing skills in a guided and supportive environment.

What are the benefits?

The course will be of benefit to those staff servicing formal committees that form part of the central committee structure and those involved in less formal local meetings. As this course relates to the ongoing development of a skill, staff and their managers are also advised that the course will provide most benefit to those individuals who are highly motivated and who will have the opportunity to practice minute writing post-course.

Topics covered include:

• agenda preparation;
• the basic principles of minute writing;
• the role of the committee secretary;
• how you can develop your minute writing skills and become more effective.
