Participants will also have the chance to design some MCQs during the workshop and discuss it with their peers in the session.

Topics covered include:

Structure of MCQ, Preventing Guess work, Optimum number of options, MCQs and Higher order thinking, Negatrive Marking, Some tips and group working

Who should attend?

Open to all academic staff in case they want to use MCQs as part of formative activities in their teaching practice. This workshop is also very useful for the course directors and module leaders as part of their responsibility of designing core assessments. MCQs might be a good type of assessment for that purpose.
