Description
The ‘event is bespoke designed specifically for Course Directors and teams in the Faculty of FBL. A brief overview of the CU 10 principles driving assessment in provided along with what it means in practice. The workshop introduces the concepts of Core and Applied Assessment and helps identify the ways in which this may influence the design of assessment strategies and inform the planning of the students’ assessment journey. The session provides the opportunity to discuss the reason why students are motivated to buy-in essays and what innovative or authentic assessment approaches could be adopted to reduce plagiarism issues.
What are the benefits?
The event aims to support Course Directors and Teams in the development of Course-level Assessment Strategy based on review of current practice and changes. The student experience remains at the heart of the discussions and Course Directors, Module Leaders and teams are encouraged to engage in conversations around innovative/authentic assessments, integrative assessment points, designing out opportunities for students’ to buy-in essays and the changes surrounding core and applied assessment. As a team, this event you with the chance to ask questions, to engage with enhancement, express solutions and to work together to suggest ways of transitioning, creating new/revised assessments and developing Action Plans for implementation.
