Description

This session offers early career researchers the opportunity to review the different pathways available at CU to recruit doctoral candidates, and to identify the actions and steps that need to be considered to attract and select applicants.

This module is part of the Doctoral Supervision Programme, and it includes one face to face session. You will be required to read a short document before the session.

This module has been designed and will be delivered by the Doctoral College and RECAP teams in collaboration with Dr Vijay Reddy (FBL) and Professor Dobrila Petrovic (IFTC).

Topics covered include:

- different schemes for recruiting and funding for doctoral students
- entry requirements for doctoral applicants
- application and selection procedures at CU
- improving your visibility and appeal to potential candidates
- good practice on recruitment processes
