Interactive WebinarDigital technologies, social media and other online platforms democratise access to learning and enable everyone to actively participate and benefit as equals from the knowledge society we all live in. BUT DO THEY?The potential of networked technologies for widening participation in society and education is too often taken for granted as reality. However, online learning experiences tend to be designed from a western-centric perspective, embodying a number of biases that can make it difficult for people from other backgrounds to fully engage and make the most of such opportunities.This seminar will focus on cultural and technical barriers to truly inclusive global learning.
