Description

This highly interactive workshop will help colleagues who organise events as part of their role to understand the health and safety considerations, authorisation requirements and the support services available to help them.
It will give event organisers the confidence and knowledge to create suitable and sufficient risk assessments and run a successful events.

Topics covered include:

• The University’s Policies and Guidance on Events
• The principles of Risk Assessment and Emergency Planning
• Different types of permissions & licences for types of events
• Support services within the University
• Roles and Responsibilities of Event Organisers and Event Managers
