Description

Want to make your teaching accessible for all students, but not sure where to begin? Then this practical one-hour session will help you to get started. Using the tried and tested principle of "K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple = Success", we will build on consultations with CU students which identified their top three accessibility needs.

What are the benefits?

These discussions found that in order to be able to access teaching and learning materials and activities, students most needed:
1. Closed captioning of lectures (e.g. on platforms such as MS Teams, Zoom, Echo 360)
2. Accessible teaching materials (e.g. Word documents and PDFs)
3. Physical access to campuses (e.g. for wheelchair users).

""K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple = Success"", using these tools does not require extensive technical knowledge. All that is required is a willingness to make small changes which can have a big impact on students - and help to make practice more accessible and inclusive.
