Description
This session will encourage colleagues involved in marking or Academic Conduct enquiries to consider the information they are presented with in an assignment submission, and more confidently determine if a referral to the Academic Conduct process is required. It will also assist Academic Conduct Officers (ACOs) in evaluating the quality and weight of the information they have before them when considering how to resolve a case.
What are the benefits?
This course will help delegates understand what might count as evidence of academic and ethical misconduct, how to record and collate evidence and how to discharge the onus of proof satisfactorily.
Topics covered include:
- Types of academic misconduct- Types of evidence in ACO cases- How to use the data to draw balanced and objective conclusions
Who should attend?
Coventry University/CU Group staff who are involved in marking and new to the academic Integrity process.
