Description
This workshop is aimed at license-holders who have access to Turnitin Authorship. Those with all levels of experience are welcome to contribute. License holders are normally academic conduct officers. The aim of the workshop is to share different experiences of use of authorship between the license holders.
What are the benefits?
To share experiences and learn from others on how to maximise use of information presented in Authorship reportsTo improve the quality of evidence generated from different sources to support a possible case of contract cheating, etcTo reduce false positive and false negative allegations of contract cheating
Topics covered include:
- Different ways of creating and accessing an authorship report- Looking at different elements of the report – what is useful- How to interpret the information on the report- How to generate useful evidence- What information to share with students- How to apply and present the evidence in ACO, and ACP meetings and in an academic conduct viva- Other useful sources of information for detecting and evidencing contract cheating, collusion and other forms of cheating- Student use of artificial intelligence tools- Supporting staff who suspect they have a case of contract cheating
