Description

Getting students to engage early with assessment tasks can often be challenging, but is critical to ensure a Pass First Time, on time.  Similarly, we need to support our students to understand that assessment is about more than “just getting the grade”.  In this workshop we will have a conversation about practices that have potential to help students to confidently engage with assessment, and to effectively use feedback to shape their learning strategies.

What are the benefits?

In this interactive session, participants will:
· Have the opportunity to consider what is meant by the terms “assessment and feedback literate” students.
· Consider the student voice, with regards to what helps and what hinders assessment and feedback literacy.
· Explore their own role in developing students’ assessment literacy.
· Identify practical approaches which will support and encourage students to achieve a First Time Pass, on time.
