Description

The University can submit up to three individuals for the National Teaching Fellowship award and this session will be of interest to those staff who interested in submitting an Expression of Interest to be selected as a candidate.

What are the benefits?

This session will explain the Expression of Interest process, outline the support resources that are available and how selected candidates will be supported in their application.

Topics covered include:

The applications for the NTFS are co-ordinated and submitted centrally by the University. Expressions of Interest will be required by Friday 3rd December 2021, 5.00pm with a 1000 word outline based on the three award criteria. These are:
• NTFS Criterion 1: Individual excellence
o Evidence of enhancing and transforming student outcomes and/or the teaching profession; demonstrating impact commensurate with the individual’s context and the opportunities afforded by it.
• NTFS Criterion 2: Raising the profile of excellence
o Evidence of supporting colleagues and influencing support for student learning and/or the teaching profession; demonstrating impact and engagement beyond the nominee’s immediate academic or professional role.
• NTFS Criterion 3: Developing excellence
o Show the nominee’s commitment to and impact of ongoing professional development with regard to teaching and learning and/or learning support.
