Audience: Module Leaders
The focus of this session is opportunities for formative assessment. This type of assessment is intended to monitor students’ learning and provide them with the chance to practice skills and gain ongoing feedback “en route” to a summative assessment. It is therefore offers a valuable means of support students to Pass First Time, on time. During the session, we will explore practical approaches to designing formative assessment activities, and the benefits of integrating these into your practice throughout delivering of the module.
In this interactive session, you will:
• Have the opportunity to consider your current formative assessment practices
• Consider student views on the nature and value of effective formative feedback
• Start to plan how to enhance formative assessment opportunities within your own module(s)
