Description

Getting students to engage early with the assessment task can often be challenging. Similarly, we need to support our students to understand that assessment is more than “just getting the grade”.

In this workshop we will have a conversation about practices that have potential to help students to confidently engage with assessment, and effectively use feedback to shape their learning strategies. The focus will be on the importance of approaching assessment as integral to teaching and learning.

• Consider what is your role in developing students’ assessment literacy? And why?
• Conversations to have with your students to make the most of feedback opportunities.
