Effective grading criteria and associated marking rubrics are key to both staff and students understanding how marks for assessments are achieved.

With the new University grading criteria recently published this workshop aims to allow participants to understand how the criteria can be used to design robust and effective rubrics for the marking process.

Topics covered include:

·Engage with the University’s new undergraduate and postgraduate grading criteria
·Identify how you can contextualise your modular learning outcomes to the grading criteria
·Explore some examples of effective marking rubrics
