Description

Coventry.Domains is a platform for staff and students to create their own blogs, portfolios or other websites. This session will give an overview of the new WordPress Service of Coventry.Domains, which makes it easier than ever for people to get online and create an online presence of their own.

What are the benefits?

Learn the difference between the Coventry.Domains WordPress service and its sister service, Coventry Domains of One's Own as well as how you can use it in a teaching context to boost the digital fluency and professional skills of your students. We'll also cover how to use the service yourself to create an academic portfolio or group research project website.

Topics covered include:

WordPress vs Domains of One's Own, teaching with web publishing, creating a website, adding content, changing your theme, using plugins, group projects and finding additional support and resources online

Who should attend?

Teaching staff will benefit the most (even if you've had Coventry.Domains training in the past), but anyone looking to create a presence on the web is welcome to attend
